To participate in the recertification course participants must possess a Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid (current certification or certification expired by no more than 30 days). Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid valid for 2 years. You will get your certification on the same day.

Blended Learning Format: Online & In-Person
This course offers a flexible blended learning format, combining online coursework you complete at your own pace before class, with one full day of hands-on, in-person training. Please be sure to set aside enough time to complete the online portion before your first day of in-person sessions!

Online Portion Details:
1. After registering, you’ll receive a link to access all online materials.
2. Completing this online section is required before joining the in-person classes.

In-Person Portion Details:
*Swimming skills evaluation
*Video presentations, PowerPoint slides, and interactive lectures
*Both in-water and out-of-water lessons and skill drills
*Multiple-choice final exam
